Wild Women Press

Twenty-five years of wild work (and still counting)

I founded Wild Women (Press) in 1999 to create a space where women* could meet together to create, explore, question, grow, dream, and disrupt; a space where we could express ourselves authentically and celebrate that beautiful, wild self.

Since then, I've had the opportunity to lead and collaborate on a number of amazing projects. At the centre of this work is the fundamental belief that when we live in the world as ourselves, what we create from that place is more powerful and more beautiful than we can ever imagine. It is living testament to the fact that when we love and nurture our wild (inside us, and in the world around us) then the most amazing things find roots to grow.

Wild Women Press continues to celebrate stories from wild women around the world, through the Wild Woman Web Spinners, and now the Wild Women Writers' Salons. Together, we can create a better world, thread by thread, seed by seed, word by word...

... and as Clarissa Pinkola Estés says,

“... go out and let stories, that is life, happen to you, ... work with these stories ...water them with your blood and tears and your laughter till they bloom, till you yourself burst into bloom. That is the work. The only work.”

(*and a little note -- Wild Women is defined by soul and spirit. We welcome all marginalised genders, including cis-women, trans-women and non-binary individuals. In other words, if this space is one where you feel at home, then you are welcome. We do NOT tolerate hate speech, divisive language or any behaviour or action that is designed to diminish, shame, threaten or otherwise exclude an individual for being who they are)
